A note from Mandy' owner, Kim Lessor . . .
"Thought I'd send you a new picture of Mandy and brag
about her a little more.
(I hope you don't get tired of hearing how great Madison's children are.) I
took her last weekend to her first show at the local riding club. It was a
dressage and hunter-jumper show so Mandy didn't compete, but Cresa went in a
couple dressage classes and a couple hunter classes.
Mandy waited quietly by the edge of the ring while her
mom was competing. The whole hustle and bustle didn't bother her at
all, and she was always willing to let her admirers pet her. I got loads
of compliments from experienced horse people on how gorgeous she is as well as
how well behaved. Lots of people asked who her daddy is so Madison got a
little bit of local advertising.
Mandy has jumped over a few of the jumps in the pasture
while she's running
loose. The best one was when she took the last two jumps of a triple
no-stride
as a nice little one-stride combination. She jumps like a perfect little hunter,
always making it look totally effortless.
In the picture (above left), she is about 3 months old, and is 12.1
hands and nearly
400 lbs. (according to the weight tape). I'm assuming that indicates that
she
is going to get fairly big, although I hope she stays smaller than her mother."
