Meet Dawn's Dairinn -- 1997 filly Dairinn is a yearling in the photo at the left and just a few days old in the middle portrait. Look long enough at the group photo and you'll also see Dairinn's little brother, Dawn's Ballinalee Sean sneaking a drink from his mum, Jenny. Jenny always enjoys her babies long after they are weaned. I always called her annual trio the "Jenny Family," and so loved to look out in the field and see them grazing together. The photo to the right is Dairinn braided and looking snazzy and next to that is a photo of her with her latest owner in CT. Dairinn met her new family, the Baughmans, when they came to visit from Michigan. We were talking about the friendly dispositions of Connemaras when Dairinn (an early yearling at the time) walked in the barn aisle, stood with us for a while, then folded up on the ground at our feet and took a snooze while we finished talking. From the very start, she was a snuggly, loving Connemara! This lovely photo of Dairinn was taken by Jan Baughman. The Baughmans sent Dairinn to Findlay College for a start in her under saddle training. She did a terrific job at her first show where she demonstrated her walk, trot, canter and excellent disposition. Go Dairinn! Later she was sold to her new owner, Christine, who is working with Dairinn as a dressage horse. See photo at top right. |
