This is Bitsy in April 2006 competing in the western show during Finals Week with her student trainer, Megan, at Findlay University. Bitsy is now doing walk/trot/canter and has learned how to show in hand for showmanship. She is three years old in these photos. (Click here for more images from the Findlay show.)
Bitsy getting ready to compete at the Reg. 5 Connemara Show at the Hoosier Horse Park in Edinburgh, IN. Thanks to Vanessa for showing Bitsy that day while I showed Amber. (Vanessa lives in TN and is the owner of Bitsy's gorgeous sire, Gunsmoke who stands for their Foothills Farms Connemaras.)

Bitsy was bred by Alice and David Kraebber of Old Carolina Farm in Tryon, NC. They kindly delivered her to Dawn of Promise in October 2004. She spent a semester in training at Findlay University in the Spring of 2006, and is growing into a really wonderful riding partner and broodmare.
Winnings and Accomplishments
2004 -- Placed well in the Connemara Yearlings in Hand Class at the Reg. 4 Show in Georgia.
2005 -- Vickie took Bitsy to several open shows to compete in hand. She won many blues and was very well behaved throughout the summer. Bitsy was even honored with a second place at the Reg. 5 Connemara Show in a large class of yearlings and two-year-olds. Bitsy earned her Certificate of Achievement in 2005 with the American Connemara Pony Society for her accomplishments.
2006 -- Bitsy returned from Findlay University in late April after a semester of training in their equestrian program learning to be a western pleasure mount. She did great. Vickie is continuing her training at home at Dawn of Promise.
2007 -- Bitsy gave birth to her first foal - a lovey bay colt by *The Quietman.
